All Weather/Empire® Base Sheet

Overview

CertainTeed's All Weather/Empire® Base Sheet is a lightly SBS-modified asphaltic base sheet, allowing contractors to dry in a roof quickly and economically when installing All Weather with hot asphalt or cold adhesive. All Weather can also be mechanically attached, and offers better kick-out and lay flat characteristics than our most economical, non-modified base, GlasBase Base Sheet. All Weather/Empire® delivers strength and moisture resistance when used as the first ply over nailable, non-nailable, and insulated substrates in BUR or modified asphalt roof systems. This 51 mil base sheet is manufactured with tough, dimensionally stable fiberglass reinforcement that is highly resistant to tearing and punctures. The fiberglass mat is saturated and coated with an SBS-modified asphalt with elastic, waterproofing properties.
